About

Puru Kaka

Business taught me how people decide. Photography taught me how to observe. Film taught me how to direct. Technology taught me how to build. Travel keeps all of it in perspective.

I started Okay Pasal in 2018 during Nepal's emerging digital-commerce era — not from theory, but from running a real business and learning directly from customers, complaints, and failed experiments. That operating experience still grounds every strategy decision I make.

Between 2022 and 2024, I trained in film direction at Kantipur Film Academy, working across direction, assistant direction, production management, and sync sound — learning the full route from script to screen.

Today I bring these threads together: directing stories, building AI-assisted digital systems, and growing brands — connected by one working principle: clarity before tools.

A journey that started in 2018 — back when Nepali e-commerce was still finding its footing, regulations were unclear, and earning customer trust was a daily fight. With a lean team of three to four people, we slowly grew across Facebook and various other platforms to 50,000+ orders delivered all across Nepal. That journey taught me what no textbook could — how complex logistics really is, when advertising works and when it just burns money, how to actually handle customer complaints, and most importantly, why a customer's trust matters more than any single sale. To this day, that experience is still what guides every new project I take on.

Photography taught me the difference between looking and truly seeing. Every frame holds a story — this is where I learned to find it.
